Granite flats, stairs and suburbs
Aberdeen's granite buildings are solid, and the stairs inside them are what to measure.
- Granite tenements. In Rosemount, the West End and around Union Street, measure the shared stair and the turn at each landing.
- Top-floor and attic flats. Sloping ceilings can reduce the space at the top of the stairs, so check the height as well as the width.
- Suburbs. In Cults, Bridge of Don, Westhill and Dyce, measure the hallway turn into the lounge.
- Recliner space. Allow room in front of the sofa for the footrests to open fully.
Compare your measurements with the width, depth and height on the product page. Not sure it will fit? Call us before ordering and we'll help you check.
